TWENTY-SIXTH STATE-WIDE MEETING
OF HIGH SCHOOL PHYSICS TEACHERS

hosted by the Department of Physics and Astronomy at

THE UNIVERSITY OF MAINE
ORONO, MAINE
FRIDAY, MARCH 17, 2006
8.30 AM 4PM
(registration begins at 8 AM, continental breakfast and lunch will both be served)

Dear Teaching Colleague,

Are you coming to this year’s High School Physics Teachers Meeting at the University of Maine?

We will begin the day’s activities in the new Engineering Science Research Building (see the map included with this letter). We want to bring together Maine physics and physical science teachers to discuss issues of teaching and learning, to present new demonstrations and teaching ideas, to showcase ways to get involved at the university, and to promote interactions between all involved parties. We hope that high school and middle school teachers, physics and physical science teachers can attend!

As in years past, we will be able to give 0.5 CEU (continuing education units) for participation in this meeting. If you wish to receive this 0.5 CEU you must: (a) attend the events of the meeting (of course!) and (b) pick up your certification at the end of the meeting. There is no advance paperwork on your part; however, there is a $5.00 fee to have the credits registered.

If you are interested in coming, please e-mail Michael C. Wittmann at wittmann@umit.maine.edu.
See you soon!
