Curriculum Materials
Below you'll find links to courseware developed for the first summer of the Phase I (Summer 1995) and Phase II (Summer 1997) Leadership Workshops. The focus of these workshops was Mechanics. The materials are available in three flavors. - In the MacWord_5 folder, the files are in Microsoft Word 5.1 format. They can be opened by Word 5.1 or later or by ClarisWorks 4.0. There are some files (.pict) which require the use of a graphics program such as SuperPaint or Canvas.
- The PDF folder contains the materials in Portable Document Format. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader (download
free from Adobe to view these files.
- The WinWord_6 folder contains files in Microsoft Word 6.0 for Windows. The files in each of the units are zipped, so you will need an unzipping utility to expand them.
Since these materials are open to inspection by anyone, no evaluation instruments are included.
- The HyperCard stacks folder contains 2 stacks dealing with kinematic equations and curves.
Mechanics curriculum (1996) - open to any visitor.
Participants in the Modeling Workshops can go to participant resources to obtain additional materials. These include tests & quizzes for Mechanics, as well as the draft 2nd semester materials developed by the 2nd summer workshops in 1996 - '98.
